We had a great time on our trip to Philadelphia and to Michigan. Thank you to everyone that came out and supported the shows, it really means a lot to us. New site design, recording

I’m excited to get this new website design up, a big thank you to my talented brother Nico Curtis for designing it and for the photography. I will be refining it over the next few days but this is the idea. Also, I will be heading into the studio with Jordan Piper on Friday to record for his debut album, so watch out for it!

The gig at the Iridium is nearing, and Marcos and I are starting to get the ball rolling on our group. We’ll be appearing with trumpet Mat Jodrell, pianist Jacob Sacks and drummer Jeff Davis. Also, I’ll be doing a short studio session coming up to record with Marcos Varela and Josh Davis in some trio music that we’ve been hoping to document. Keep on checking back for new performances and music to listen to!

Well, I’m really looking forward for some time back home and to get to play with such wonderful musicians! Before I’m back in Michigan, on December 26th I’ll be hosting the late night jam at Cleopatra’s Needle in NYC, should be a great night. I’m also excited to announce a performance at Iridium in Times Square, Manhattan, NYC on March 13th. I will be co-leading a group with bassist Marcos Varela as part of the “New Faces of Midnight” series. Keep watching for more details to emerge.

I’m excited to announce a few upcoming performances. On December 7th, I will be performing with a good friend of mine, and fellow saxophonist, Peter Sparacino, in Brooklyn. Additionally, I have booked a trip back home to Michigan and will have performances while I am there at The Canterbury House (Ann Arbor), Baker’s Keyboard Lounge (Detroit), Cliff Bell’s (Detroit) and the Cadieux Cafe (Detroit). There may be others to follow, so stay tuned! Additional details, as always, can be found on my calendar. You can continue to hear me every Sunday with the Logan Thomas Quintet at Dervish, a great restaurant in Times Square, Manhattan.

And here we are in September. I had the pleasure of performing with some old friends of mine while I was back in Ann Arbor at a great intimate venue, the Canterbury House. You can hear some of the results (my songs: Sunday Market and Travel Safely) of that performance on my listen page.

F.O.K.U.S. presents The Stoop!

I’m very excited to be playing at this outdoor party and festival with my trio presented by the Ann Arbor born arts group F.O.K.U.S. I’ll be performing with my good friends Marcos Varela on bass and Josh Davis on drums. You can hear us playing Billy Strayhorn’s Isfahan from a recent gig on the Listen Page.

Now the NYC chapter is doing great things to promote and support the arts, you can find out more and listen to tracks by all the artists!

I’ve just uploaded a couple of new songs, you can listen to them. They are from a gig I did last month in Manhattan and feature some great musicians! Alternatives and Return To Gotham (New York Lullaby) are both original tunes written in the past couple of months. Please head on over and take a listen.
