All of a sudden it’s November and I have a couple of projects up and running and exciting performances. I’m leading a band again at Miles’ Cafe, but this time adding my friend Tony Lustig on baritone saxophone, paying tribute to Harry Nilsson’s The Point! at the Shrine in Harlem with a slew of collaborators and an 8 piece band, at the Metropolitan Room with our newly named band Manner Effect featuring Sarah Charles (Logan Thomas, Josh Davis, PJ Roberts) for a live concert recording, at Spike Hill in Brooklyn with Kenji Yoshitake’s Trio (a really fun band!), and with the William Paterson Jazz Orchestra featuring baseball legend Bernie Williams on guitar. Makes for a busy month, which is really great, and a couple of other projects in the works!
