Other Info
It would be rare enough to possess the incredible major league baseball talent that propelled Bernie Williams to establish batting statistics that put him among of the great New York Yankees of all time, winning World Series championships and an American League batting title. Bernie Williams is also a skilled, fleet-fingered guitarist that comes from his childhood classical training in Puerto Rico, and has continued after his baseball career to include two hit CDs, the most recent being Moving On, and recent chart-topping airplay nationally and internationally. This event will feature a first: Williams as guest soloist with the 18-piece William Paterson Jazz Orchestra performing new arrangements of music from his two CDs, interspersed with interviews by longtime New York sportswriter and jazz fan Phil Pepe, with time for audience questions.
